Ascension island, British dependency of St. Helena, in the South Atlantic Ocean, about midway between Africa and South America and 700 miles northwest of St. Helena. The small, volcanic island was sighted by the Portuguese in 1501, but it was uninhabited until the exile of Napoleon to St. Helena in 1815.

Baltra is a small island in Ecuador’s Galápagos archipelago, located just north of Santa Cruz Island. Although it has limited permanent settlement and little vegetation compared to other islands in the region, Baltra plays an important role as one of the main transportation gateways to the Galápagos.

Yeghegnadzor is a town in Armenia's Vayots Dzor Province, situated in the Arpa River valley among the mountains of southeastern Armenia. The Conflict Islands are a small group of coral islands and atolls in the Louisiade Archipelago of Papua New Guinea’s Milne Bay Province. They lie in the Solomon Sea, southeast of mainland Papua New Guinea, and are surrounded by clear lagoon waters, coral reefs, sandbars, and uninhabited islets.
