Formerly Mocamedes, this port in southwest Angola has become an important industrial center since a rail line was built in 1905 connecting it with the interior of Angola. In 1967 when iron ore was discovered in Dongo, an additional line was laid and the port was enlarged.

Keolodeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur is famous for a large variety of migratory and resident birds, including the Siberian Crane.

Saint-Pierre is a historic coastal town in northern Martinique, set between the Caribbean Sea and the slopes of Mount Pelée. Once the island’s principal port and commercial centre, the town was destroyed by the volcano’s eruption and later rebuilt around surviving ruins and archaeological remains. Today, Saint-Pierre is recognized as a Town of Art and History, with a landscape that combines the sea, volcanic mountain, historic streets, and remnants of the former city.
