Rosalie is a small coastal community on the southeastern side of Dominica, where the Rosalie River reaches the Atlantic Ocean. The village lies within a landscape of steep forested hills, river valleys, and rocky coastline, with the surrounding area forming part of Dominica’s lush eastern interior. Rosalie is particularly associated with the Rosalie Bay area, where the river, rainforest, and ocean meet.

Alexandra Headland is a coastal suburb on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, situated between Mooloolaba and Maroochydore. Karakul Lake is a high-altitude lake in eastern Tajikistan, situated in the Pamir Mountains near the village of Karakul. The lake lies at roughly 3,900 meters above sea level within a broad, treeless landscape of rocky plains and high mountain ranges. Its name means “Black Lake” in Turkic, although its water can appear deep blue, green, or turquoise depending on the light. Karakul is the largest lake by surface area in the Pamirs and is part of the wider Tajik National Park.

Connemara National Park lies in County Galway in western Ireland, near the village of Letterfrack. The park protects a broad landscape of mountains, western blanket bog, heath, grassland, woodland, and lakes, covering more than 2,000 hectares. Several of its peaks form part of the Twelve Bens range, including Benbaun, the highest mountain in County Galway.
