Santa Cruz de Mompox, better known as simply Mompox (or Mompós), draws many visitors to northern Colombia with its rich history, well-preserved colonial architecture, and several annual events including its Holy Week celebrations and the Mompox Jazz Festival.

Haines is a charming stop in the Alaska Panhandle and a gateway to Glacier Bay National Park and Tongass National Forest.

Montserrat Mountain rises sharply from the plains of Catalonia, its jagged rock shapes visible from far away. The mountain is known for its unusual rounded peaks and narrow ridges, formed into striking forms that look almost carved by hand. Trails and cable cars lead visitors upward from nearby villages such as Monistrol de Montserrat, where the climb quickly reveals wide views across the region, stretching toward Barcelona on clear days.

This is a city one could get lost in for days, exploring the old Ming Dynasty walls and wandering through its superb museum. If time permits, you should also take a walk through Linggu Park, home of the Linggu Pagoda and other items of Buddhist interest. Even just a casual walk through the streets-replete with food vendors and baskets of live geese-will help convey the unique flavor of this city.
