Fogo Island is a large offshore island in Newfoundland and Labrador, set in the North Atlantic and reached by ferry from Farewell on Newfoundland’s northeast coast. Its landscape is defined by rocky headlands, small coves, rolling hills, exposed coastal trails, and scattered fishing communities. Eleven communities occupy the island, including Fogo, Joe Batt’s Arm, and Tilting, each with its own character and relationship to the sea.

Tobermory is a small harbour community at the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, where Georgian Bay meets Lake Huron. Its location is surrounded by clear freshwater, rugged limestone shoreline, forests, and numerous offshore islands. Tobermory is closely associated with Fathom Five National Marine Park and Bruce Peninsula National Park, which protect distinctive terrestrial and underwater environments around the peninsula.

Kananaskis, located in the foothills and front ranges of the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, is a vast region celebrated for its rugged mountains, alpine lakes, and outdoor recreation opportunities. Unlike nearby Banff or Jasper, Kananaskis is less developed and offers a quieter, more wilderness-focused experience while still being easily accessible from Calgary.

The Alabama Hills are one of Lone Pine’s most recognizable attractions, with rounded orange and brown rock formations set against the steep Sierra Nevada. Numerous roads and trails provide access to arches, boulders, and viewpoints across the area. Mount Whitney, the highest summit in the contiguous United States, rises west of town, while the Inyo National Forest and surrounding wilderness areas provide opportunities for hiking, climbing, fishing, and wildlife observation.

Masalli is a town in southeastern Azerbaijan, situated between the Talysh Mountains and the Caspian Sea. The district is known for its humid subtropical climate, fertile lowlands, forested mountain slopes, and numerous mineral springs. Tea plantations, citrus orchards, rice fields, and other cultivated areas are found across the surrounding countryside, while the Talysh Mountains rise toward the west. Masalli serves as a gateway to several natural attractions.
