Grampians National Park, known as Gariwerd by the Traditional Owners, is a mountainous landscape in western Victoria defined by sandstone ranges, rocky escarpments, forests, waterfalls, and broad valleys. The park forms part of the Grampians-Gariwerd region and contains some of Victoria’s most extensive areas of protected native habitat.
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is a wetland reserve in northern Costa Rica, in Alajuela Province near the Nicaraguan border. The protected area covers lowland forests, rivers, lagoons, marshes, and seasonal waterways within the basin of the Frío River. Kibira National Park is a large montane rainforest in northwestern Burundi, extending along the Congo-Nile Divide near the border with Rwanda. The park covers about 40,000 hectares and rises from roughly 1,500 to 2,660 metres, creating a cool, misty environment of dense forest, bamboo, streams, and mountain ridges
