Comoros, independent state comprising a group of islands located at the northern entrance of the Mozambique Channel, between the African mainland and the island of Madagascar. Officially called the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros, the archipelago includes four major islands.

Chitré is a city in central Panama, located on the Azuero Peninsula and serving as the capital of Herrera Province. The cultural identity of Chitré is closely tied to folkloric traditions that remain visible in clothing, music, and public celebrations.

Lake Kariba is a large reservoir on the Zambezi River along the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. On the Zimbabwean side, the lake stretches through a landscape of wooded hills, rocky shorelines, islands, and broad expanses of open water. The reservoir is closely connected with the town of Kariba, which developed around the hydroelectric project at the lake’s eastern end.
