The Sacred Valley, located in the Andes and divided by Urubamba River, was part of the larger Inca Empire, along with Machu Picchu and the closeby town of Cusco. Tourists will see green agricultural landscapes and Spanish hamlets like Ollantaytambo and Pisac, the latter featuring a Sunday market.

Though it's San Diego County's smallest city in both size and population, Del Mar is one of its most widely known due to prominence of its Del Mar Race Track & Fairgrounds. The City of Del Mar with about 2 square miles of land for its 5,211 residents, the city gives up almost one quarter to the fairgrounds. But its beaches stretch from Del Mar Shores Beach Park in the north edge of Torrey Pine State Reserve and the La Jolla Underwater Park in the south.

Nuevo Vallarta, located along the Bahía de Banderas in the state of Nayarit, is a coastal destination known for its wide, sandy beaches and marina-lined canals. Originally developed as a tourism project in the late 20th century, it has grown into a well-organized resort area with luxury hotels, golf courses, and waterfront condos. Unlike older beach towns with colonial roots, Nuevo Vallarta was designed from the start to offer modern comfort while being surrounded by natural landscapes.

In the southern deserts of Peru, Nazca invites visitors to look beyond the horizon. This small city is world-famous for the mysterious Nazca Lines, enormous geoglyphs etched into the desert floor more than 1,500 years ago. From the air, shapes like hummingbirds, monkeys, and even a stylized astronaut come into view, some stretching over 300 meters. Their exact purpose remains a mystery, fueling decades of theories.

The ancient region of Cappadocia lies in Central Anatolia, between the cities of Nevsehir, Kayseri and Nigde. Here, the traveler finds one of the most fantastic landscapes in the world. Wind and weather have eroded the soft volcanic rock with hundreds of strangely shaped pillars, cones and "fairy chimneys", often very tall, and in every shade from pink through yellow to russet browns.
