Whitehorse, the capital of Canada’s Yukon Territory, sits along the Yukon River and serves as the cultural, economic, and transportation heart of the North. Loen is a small village at the innermost end of Nordfjord in Stryn municipality, western Norway, where steep mountains, deep valleys, and glacier-fed lakes meet the fjord. The village sits beneath Mount Hoven and Skåla, with forested slopes rising sharply from the water. Its location provides easy access to both the fjord and the Lodalen valley, making the landscape unusually varied within a short distance.

There is a whole host of wildlife on Moreton Island which you can see on the numerous beaches, and along the walking and 4WD trails. Many wading birds can be found on the island, in particular between September and April when many birds migrate from other countries. You may also be lucky enough to see Green and Loggerhead Turtles which often nest between November - February.
