While an earthquake in 1972 left few buildings intact in downtown Managua, new areas are building up. Managua has excellent restaurants, nice hotels, and is a good base for day tours into the countryside.

The name is not an exaggeration. Here 100-foot high glaciers and precipitous mountains present an incomparable panorama, a riot of color in white, red, yellow and blue.

Kyrenia is a coastal city on the northern shore of Cyprus, set between the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Kyrenia mountain range.
