Founded in 1721 by mainland Chinese, it is the third largest city in Taiwan. Occupied by Japanese from 1895-1945, it totally leveled and rebuilt. With many museums, gardens and universities, it is considered the cultural center of Taiwan.

Perched on the cliffs of Italy's Amalfi Coast, Positano is a picturesque haven renowned for its dramatic beauty and charming character. This coastal gem is celebrated for its colorful, cascading buildings that cling to the steep hillsides, offering stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Although not accessible by road, it is Peru's most important commerical center in the east. It is on the Amazon which is wide enough to allow freighters at their busy port. The 1880's saw the rubber boom and recently oil has been the boom.

Karpathos is marked by the peculiar Karpathian houses, built of carved stone, full of embroidery and characteristic interior decorations. From Pigadia you may visit Kyra Panagia, a picturesque bay with a marvelous beach and a monastery of the same name. A little further, on the northern promontory of Karpathos, lies the Diafani village; on the nearby little island of Saria we see Palatia, with ruins of the ancient city of Nisyros.

Located off the southern coast of Chile, Cape Horn is a coastal headland on Isla Hornos, the southernmost island in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. The Cape Horn Monument provides a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. This rocky cliffside is a popular stop for Antarctic and South American cruises.
