Morro Bay is a coastal city on California’s Central Coast, situated around a natural harbor between San Luis Obispo and the Pacific Ocean. Its most recognizable landmark is Morro Rock, a large volcanic plug rising at the entrance to the bay. The city’s waterfront includes fishing docks, marinas, beaches, and a working harbor, while wetlands and dunes surround parts of the shoreline.

The Blue Mountains form Jamaica’s highest mountain range, rising across the eastern part of the island between Kingston, Saint Andrew, Saint Thomas, and Portland. Dawes Glacier is a tidewater glacier in Endicott Arm, a deep fjord branching from the waters of southeastern Alaska’s Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness. The glacier descends from the Coast Mountains toward the head of the fjord, where ice meets seawater at a broad calving face. Towering mountains, steep cliffs, waterfalls, and dense coastal forest surround the fjord, creating a dramatic setting that is best experienced from the water.

Lake Powell, stretching across the Utah-Arizona border, is one of the largest manmade reservoirs in the United States. Formed by the flooding of Glen Canyon after the completion of the Glen Canyon Dam in 1963, it covers over 180 miles in length and contains nearly 2,000 miles of shoreline, more than the entire West Coast of the U.S. Despite its modern origins, the area has long been home to the Ancestral Puebloans and later Navajo communities.

Etosha National Park, located in northern Namibia, is one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations. Covering nearly 8,500 square miles, it is centered around the Etosha Pan, a massive salt flat that can be seen from space. During the dry season, animals gather around waterholes, creating spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities that attract visitors from around the world.
