Baltra is a small island in Ecuador’s Galápagos archipelago, located just north of Santa Cruz Island. Although it has limited permanent settlement and little vegetation compared to other islands in the region, Baltra plays an important role as one of the main transportation gateways to the Galápagos.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park lies in the Texas Panhandle near Canyon, protecting a section of Palo Duro Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of Texas.” The canyon stretches through the surrounding High Plains, with layered rock walls, mesas, buttes, and dry grasslands creating a landscape distinct from most of Texas.

The Ring of Kerry, a 179-kilometer circular route in County Kerry, Ireland, offers travelers a journey through rugged coastal cliffs, remote villages, and winding mountain roads. Starting from Killarney, the route moves clockwise through towns like Kenmare, Waterville, Cahersiveen, and Glenbeigh, each offering its own slice of Irish life. Though often explored by car or tour bus, cycling the route is growing in popularity, especially during spring and early autumn when traffic is lighter.

Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, is a city where history and daily life intertwine along the shores of the Atlantic. Founded in 1792 as a settlement for freed slaves from Britain and the Americas, it remains a place of cultural depth and resilience.

Founded in 1721 by mainland Chinese, it is the third largest city in Taiwan. Occupied by Japanese from 1895-1945, it totally leveled and rebuilt. With many museums, gardens and universities, it is considered the cultural center of Taiwan.
