One of Africa's most popular game reserves, Maasai Mara is located in Narok, Kenya, near the border of Tanzania. Named in honor of the Maasai people, this park is populated with wildlife including elephants, lions, zebras, and leopards.

Tristan da Cunha is a remote volcanic island in the South Atlantic Ocean, forming part of a small archipelago along with Inaccessible Island and Nightingale Island. Known as the most isolated inhabited island in the world, it is accessible only by a week-long boat journey from South Africa.

In the newer area you will find excellent hotels, chic shops, and good restaurants. Near the old downtown commercial center, behind the Catedral Metropolitana, and a block off Central Park, the Central Market where everything made or produced in the country is sold.

The Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa, offer far more than just sunshine and beaches. Made up of eight main islands, each with its own personality, the Canaries are a place where lunar landscapes, cloud forests, volcanic peaks, and historic towns coexist within short travel distances. On Tenerife, Mount Teide looms over a landscape of solidified lava and craters that look like a science fiction set.

Yellowknife is the capital of the Northwest Territories, set on the rocky northern shore of Great Slave Lake amid the forests and exposed Canadian Shield of the subarctic. The city developed around gold mining and later became the territorial centre for government, commerce, transportation, and northern services. Today, Yellowknife serves as a gateway to the wider Northwest Territories and the Canadian Arctic. Its location beneath the auroral oval makes the northern lights a defining feature.
