St. Kitts, part of the twin-island federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, is known for its volcanic landscape, coastal plains, and long stretches of shoreline. The island’s layout is shaped by its central peaks, including Mount Liamuiga, which rises above surrounding farmland and villages. Basseterre, the capital, serves as the main hub for commerce and government, with a harbor that regularly receives cruise ships.

Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León, stands at the foot of the Sierra Madre Oriental and has long been recognized as one of Mexico’s most industrial and innovative cities. The Macroplaza is one of the largest public squares in Latin America and links historic buildings like the 18th-century Metropolitan Cathedral with newer sites like the Museo de Historia Mexicana and the Faro del Comercio, a towering orange structure that beams a green laser across the sky each night.

Carlsbad is the gateway to the famous Carlsbad Caverns National Park and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Carlsbad offers a variety of outdoor recreation, and its location on the Pecos River opens the door to great fun on the water. This friendly small city is a wonderful place to visit.

Vaavu Atoll lies south of Malé and is known for its relatively small population, numerous uninhabited islands, clear lagoons, and extensive coral reefs. Felidhoo is the administrative capital, while Thinadhoo, Keyodhoo, and Fulidhoo are among the better-known inhabited islands. The atoll has a quieter character than the more developed areas closer to the capital, with guesthouses, fishing communities, and resorts spread across separate islands.

Copper Canyon is actually not a single canyon, but rather a series of more than 20 canyons running through the northern region of Mexico. The canyon covers over 20,000 square miles and is four times larger than the Grand Canyon in the United States.
