Turkmenistan is a land of striking contrasts, where vast deserts meet ancient Silk Road history. Opatija, located on Croatia’s Kvarner Bay, has been drawing visitors since the 19th century, when Austro-Hungarian aristocrats built grand villas along its Adriatic shoreline.
