Lake Tahoe is one of the most dramatic and beautiful sights in the World. A natural lake formed at the top of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it is now a winter sports center, a summer vacation destination and the home of wonderful casinos and resorts.
The Falkland Islands, a remote archipelago in the South Atlantic, offer a striking combination of wild open spaces, rich wildlife, and a way of life shaped by wind, sea, and resilience. With fewer than 3,500 residents spread across over 700 islands, the Falklands provide a rare opportunity to disconnect from busy modern life and connect with wide skies, rugged coastlines, and some of the most accessible wildlife experiences on the planet.
Vukovar, a city in eastern Croatia, stands as a poignant symbol of resilience and beauty. Its rich history is etched into its architecture and monuments, telling the story of its resilience during the Croatian War of Independence.
Providenciales, often called “Provo,” is the most developed island in the Turks and Caicos archipelago and a gateway to some of the clearest waters in the Caribbean. Its coastline is famous for long stretches of white sand and shallow turquoise seas that seem to shift color with the sun. Grace Bay Beach, the island’s most celebrated shoreline, runs uninterrupted for more than 19 kilometers and is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world.
On Greenland’s west coast, Ilulissat (once known as Jakobshavn) welcomes travelers with astonishing ice scenery and a sense of scale that feels almost otherworldly. The town sits beside Disko Bay, where immense icebergs drift silently past, glowing pink and gold in the Arctic light. The name “Ilulissat” means “icebergs,” and it could not be more fitting. Here, every turn toward the sea offers a fresh view of towering ice forms, each one sculpted by nature into something fleeting and beautiful.

Collioure, just before the Spanish border, aims its charms at its own people. It's the ideal small town-without-the-glitz antidote to condo city Riviera. Like an ice cream shop, Collioure offers 31 flavors of pastel houses and six petite scooped-out beach-sprinkled lightly with beachgoers. This sweet scene, capped by Collioure's winking lighthouse, sits under a once-mighty castle in the shade of the Pyrenees. The ambience of Collioure is what was so charming about the Cote d'Azur back before the introduction of the paid vacation turned the Riviera into France's holiday beach.
