Commodores is a funk and soul band from Alabama who was at their peak from the late '70s through the mid-'80s. Initially drawing mainstream attention by opening for the Jackson 5 on tour, the band later created their own biggest hit singles like "Easy," "Three Times a Lady," and "Brick House." The Grammy-winning band sold over 70 million albums worldwide and was inducted into both the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Cowboy Junkies is a Canadian alternative country and folk rock band formed in 1985. They gained wide recognition with their second album, The Trinity Session, which the Los Angeles Times named among the best albums of 1988. Their most popular singles are "Angel Mine," "Anniversary Song," and "A Common Disaster."
