Although its great days are past, its palaces and castles deserted, gondar is one of Ethiopia's most fascinating cities and one of the world's most mysterious. The city stands at the foot of the Simien mountains and is set in a landscape of incomparable beauty. Gondar is the former 17th century capital of Ethiopia, although some say it was Saudi Arabia.

Guernsey, the second-largest of the Channel Islands, blends coastal landscapes with a deep-rooted history shaped by centuries of outside influence. With its intricate network of canals and waterways, the city once played a key role in the Dutch Golden Age and is home to the Biesbosch National Park, one of the largest national parks in the Netherlands.

Antigua and Barbuda are located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Antigua, the largest of the British Leeward Islands, is about 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, encompassing 108 square miles. Barbuda, a flat coral island with an area of only 68 square miles, lies approximately 30 miles to the north. The population is approximately 68,000 and its capital is St. John's on Antigua.
