Ahuachapán is a city in western El Salvador and the capital of the department of the same name. It sits near the foothills of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, an area known for highland coffee farms, volcanic landscapes, and the route connecting several towns along the Ruta de las Flores. The city itself has a historic center with traditional architecture, plazas, churches, and pedestrian areas.
St. Moritz, located in Switzerland’s Engadin Valley, has been attracting visitors for over 150 years, long before the term "alpine resort" became common. It was here in 1864 that winter tourism was born, when a hotelier made a wager with British guests that they would enjoy the snow just as much as the summer sun. They returned, and the rest is history. The town has since hosted the Winter Olympics twice (in 1928 and 1948) and remains a favorite for skiing, snowboarding, and ice sports.
Florence (Firenze) is a compact city, but densely packed with spectacular art and architecture everywhere you look. The city center itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
King Island was discovered in 1798, and was a preferred breeding area for sea elephants and seals. Around the island are many shipwrecks, caused by the rough seas of the Bass Strait.
Cabourg is a seaside resort on the Côte Fleurie in Normandy, set where the River Dives reaches the English Channel. Its long sandy beach, broad promenade, and orderly streets give the town a distinctive coastal character, while Belle Époque villas and landscaped gardens reflect its development as a fashionable resort. The central Grand Hôtel stands beside the beach and casino, forming one of Cabourg's most recognisable landmarks.
