Dover, located in Morris County, New Jersey, is a small yet historically rich town nestled along the Rockaway River about 30 miles west of New York City. Founded in the early 1700s, Dover grew as an important ironworking and industrial center during the 18th and 19th centuries, thanks to its proximity to the Morris Canal and the region’s abundant natural resources.

Nelson sits along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in southeastern British Columbia, embraced by the rugged peaks of the Selkirk Mountains and threaded with over 350 heritage buildings that tell the story of its silver-rush beginnings. A short trip outside town leads to spots like the Salmo–Troup Rail Trail, a wide, gentle path that follows an old rail line for kilometers through forest and alongside rivers.

Santa Cruz is in stark contrast to La Paz. Climate is tropical and altitude is only 1,250 feet. Cape Town, located at the southern tip of South Africa, is one of the world’s most striking coastal cities. Towering over it is Table Mountain, a flat-topped landmark that can be reached by cable car or on foot, offering sweeping views of the city, ocean, and beyond.

Qingdao, also Tsingtao or Ch'ing-tao, Shandong Province, eastern China. It is a major naval base, an industrial center, and a port on the Yellow Sea at the entrance to sheltered Jiaozhou Bay. The port, which rarely freezes over, serves the industrialized northern China Plain and was expanded in 1976 to include an oil terminal for large tankers on Huang Island. The leading manufactures of the city include textiles, railroad equipment, rubber goods, fertilizer, and chemicals.
