The Canary Islands, a Spanish archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa, offer far more than just sunshine and beaches. Made up of eight main islands, each with its own personality, the Canaries are a place where lunar landscapes, cloud forests, volcanic peaks, and historic towns coexist within short travel distances. On Tenerife, Mount Teide looms over a landscape of solidified lava and craters that look like a science fiction set.

Banff, nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, is one of Canada’s most celebrated mountain towns and a gateway to Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Founded in 1721 by mainland Chinese, it is the third largest city in Taiwan. Occupied by Japanese from 1895-1945, it totally leveled and rebuilt. With many museums, gardens and universities, it is considered the cultural center of Taiwan.

Davos, located in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, is the highest town in Europe at 1,560 meters above sea level and known for its alpine sports and outdoor activities. In winter, it offers over 300 kilometers of ski slopes shared with neighboring Klosters, along with cross-country trails and Europe’s largest natural ice rink. In summer, the same mountains transform into hiking and mountain biking routes, including the panoramic Jakobshorn and Parsenn areas.

Durban is a big subtropical city in the north-eastern province of KwaZulu/Natal. It has been a major port since the 1850s and is home to the largest concentration of Indian-descended people in the country - Mohandas Gandhi arrived here as an indentured labourer in 1893. Today the city is better known as a holiday-makers' fun parlour with a happening nightlife.
