Leiden
Leiden or Leyden, city in the western Netherlands, in Zuid-Holland (South Holland) Province, on the Old Rhine River, near The Hague. Leiden is also the site of the State University of Leiden, one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in Europe. It was the birthplace of several important Dutch painters, including Rembrandt, Jan van Goyen, and Jan Steen. During the 17th century the English settlers who became known as the Pilgrims took refuge in Leiden before leaving for North America.
Palm Island
Palm Island is a small private resort island just off Aruba's southern coast, reached by a short ferry ride from the mainland near the fishing community of De Palm Island. The island is surrounded by the warm Caribbean Sea and features sandy beaches, shallow lagoons, coral reefs, and landscaped areas.
Llangollen
In common with so many ancient Welsh towns, Llangollen takes its name from its founding Saint; Collen, a seventh century saint, who chose this place to build his hermitage or cell in the custom of the times, with tiny church, hospice and outhouses all enclosed within a wall.
Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park protects a vast subtropical wetland at the southern tip of Florida, where freshwater moves slowly through sawgrass marshes, mangrove forests, hardwood hammocks, and coastal lagoons toward Florida Bay. Covering more than 1.5 million acres, it is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The park is part of a much larger ecosystem whose waters originate in central and southern Florida and eventually reach the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Bay
Noosa Heads
Noosa Heads, located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, is a coastal town renowned for its pristine beaches, lush hinterland, and relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.
