Rina Banerjee
From 2/7/2026 - 7/26/2026
Rina Banerjee's sculpture, inspired by the Taj Mahal, challenges conventional perceptions of the monument with its steel and copper frame wrapped in pink cellophane, a material emblematic of the disposable consumer culture. Inside the floating, tent-like structure, attendees will find relics of colonialism, including an antique Anglo-Indian Bombay chair and a chandelier made from expendable goods, showcasing Banerjee's unique method of combining found objects with consumer products.
