Oslo, Norway’s capital, stands at the crossroads of Nordic history and forward-thinking design. Originally founded over a thousand years ago by Viking King Harald Hardrada, the city has evolved from a medieval trading hub into one of Europe’s most modern capitals. Visitors can explore its layered past at the Akershus Fortress, a 13th-century stronghold still standing guard over Oslofjord, or walk through the preserved wooden homes of Damstredet.

Lundy is a small granite island in the Bristol Channel, about 12 miles off the coast of North Devon. Roughly three miles long and half a mile wide, it has a rugged western coastline of cliffs and a more sheltered eastern side with grassy slopes and Landing Bay. The island is owned by the National Trust and managed by the Landmark Trust, with a small resident community and no cars.

Sokcho-si is a coastal city in northeastern South Korea where the East Sea meets rugged mountains, giving it a maritime and outdoor character.

Kalbarri is a coastal town, set alongside the Murchison River. The coastline around Kalbarri is wonderful and has quite a history, with several shipwrecks along the shore. There is a fabulous cycle path along the coastline and coastal clifftops, including Eagle Gorge, Natural Bridge, Pot Alley, Rainbow Valley and Red Bluff. There is also fantastic surf at Jakes Corner.
