Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park, in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province, is one of the country’s oldest protected areas and holds deep historical importance in conservation.

Isalo National Park lies in southern Madagascar near the town of Ranohira, protecting about 81,540 hectares of sandstone massifs, deep canyons, grasslands, forests, and rocky plateaus. Its landscape has been shaped by erosion into unusual cliffs, ridges, gorges, and isolated rock formations. The park is particularly associated with its dust-red elephants, whose appearance comes from the animals coating themselves in the park’s distinctive red soil.
